This board found a way to streamline the Conditional Use Permit process for business use on your property while preserving a fair appeal system.
We enlarged the permit to exempt outbuilding size to 600 feet with a site location application.
We reduced the building permit costs for smaller, more common projects and based the costs of permits closer to the actual staff time involved.
We worked with other counties to remove the north eastern counties from a change to climate zone requirements in the Washington State Energy Code. This change would have required expensive upgrades to new houses.
